Install the Citevera WordPress plugin, activate a license, and use the free features (llms.txt, AI-crawler rules, schema, local audit) and paid features (cloud audits, rewrites) from wp-admin.
Install
Plugins -> Add New -> search "Citevera", or download from the wordpress.org listing. The Citevera menu appears in the wp-admin sidebar.
Free features, no license needed
llms.txt and llms-full.txt generated from your published content and served at your domain (pretty permalinks required - the dashboard tells you if they are off); AI-crawler allow/block rules for robots.txt; JSON-LD schema (Organization, FAQ, Article, and more); and the local audit - a mechanical "Setup readiness" check of your configuration, no AI involved.
Activate a license
Citevera -> License. Both key families work: keys starting with sk_ (issued at checkout since the Freemius move) and legacy CV-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX keys. Paid tiers unlock cloud audits, AI content rewrites in Gutenberg, and full schema coverage. Deactivating releases the activation seat on the server.
The two dashboard scores
Setup readiness is the local audit - mechanical checks of your configuration. AI visibility is the cloud scan - an AI-judged assessment of your content, scored from the 5-stage decision funnel shown under the ring. They are different measurements on different scales and are never blended; it is normal for one to be high while the other is low, and the dashboard tells you which one to work on.
If the dashboard shows an error
The error names its cause: an expired WordPress session offers a reload, a security plugin or host firewall blocking /wp-json/ names the exact path to allowlist, and license problems link to the license screen. Every message includes the failing URL you can hand to support.
